    Conclusion

People expect the home to be a place of refuge or safety from outside pressures or pollutions.

Considering the amount of time spent there by the family, to have a healthy refuge a close look needs to be taken into what is being breathed in the home. Can you imagine spending 70% to 90% of your time in an air-polluted environment? Would you consider living in a mold factory or chemical dump?

There is an effective way of finding out what may be floating around in the air of your home.. Air testing can give a name to what may be contaminating your indoor environment, and if there are health issues involved, this information can help your doctor be specific about any allergy testing that may be done.

The research into indoor air quality is constantly being updated, and better equipment is being designed to help give a detailed picture of the environment in our homes. Investigators are more aware of things to look for and have a greater network of professionals and information to follow a line of investigation to a conclusive answer.

The biggest issue to date is making sure that the investigator is qualified to do his/her job. The way to find out if a person is qualified is to ask for referrals from professionals in the field of IAQ. The American Industrial Hygiene Association and IAQA have recommended Indoor Air Services, Inc. repeatedly over the years.

There is a list of references included with this report with web site addresses of IAQ associations that you may visit to get as much information as you feel you need to make yourself knowledgeable about indoor air quality. You may also call us at anytime for information or to make an appointment.
