Conditions and Limitations of Testing

Air sampling results alone are limited in that they represent airborne concentrations at the time of sample collection only. Changes in operating procedures (daily living), ventilation, temperature, occupancy, procedures, equipment, sources, products used, and any other changed conditions may cause variations in anticipated airborne concentrations. However, they can tell us if there could be a contamination site and the species, which are growing or could possibly grow under the right conditions.

When combined with surface contact tests, moisture tests, VOC testing, and a thorough examination of the outdoor and indoor environment the full picture of the indoor environment can be determined.
